For me, my holidays are the perfect time to shift my focus to gratitude. Simply taking 5 minutes a day to simply review what great things have happened in the day, makes me feel so much happier and so grateful of life...
I just love noticing the little things in the day that made me smile, it is amazing how soon you will realise that these little things we take from granted, have got the power to make us feel so happy.
Trying to give one compliment a day to someone or show my appreciation of something not only did impact me, but it did impact the life of the other person. In the end, gratitude makes people like us, making us nice, more trusting and more social on average. Without a doubt it will deepen your friendships and relationship.
As part of my gratitude mindset, I also decided to avoid, as much as possible, complaining or criticising things. I, now, simply refuse to spend my energy on negativity. Shifting back all that negative energy towards gratitude has let me experience more good feeling during the past week.
Good feelings are key, they increased my self-esteem and my energy level.. Gratitude is rated as a positive and constructive emotion. As far as I am concerned, gratitude is a form of happiness. I want to focus on gratitude, as I want to build good memories of our holidays, It does not have to be something out of the ordinary, there is nothing too small to be thankful for, These positive memories will remain inside me every time I relate to this holiday.
In the end what has been an eye opener? Spending more time with my family simply lifted my soul, I grew closer to my son and my partner. Gratitude has strengthen our relationship and made us appreciate life even more, as the secret to having it all, is knowing that you already do.
Chit-chat room, what is it all about?
I have created this page so we can have regular chit-chats about those little things that will bring positivity into our daily life. Sometime just a little funny post, a fun video, a song or a quote, will bring sunshine into our day, will bring a smile onto our face, or will simply make us feel good. Hope you enjoy reading these posts.
